Watkins Motel

Stayed inside the front hotel built in 1900 in the upstairs suite. Clean. Perfect for 4 adults. Queen beds were very comfortable. Listing says sleeps 6 adults but DO NOT even attempt to sleep on the sofa bed, very bad mattress. Hotel staff were very nice. Perfect location to walk over to Watkins Glen State Park and see the gorgeous waterfalls!

There are a lot of great things about this motel: - It's within a reasonable walking distance of many attractions in Watkins Glen. - The room were clean and in good shape. - The staff is friendly. - The price was good. There were a number of things that detracted from our stay though: - The water was scalding hot (even when only turning the cold knob) so I had to mess around with the intake valves to use the water safely. - There was a concert in the neighboring building; more generally, the area was a little noisier than I would have preferred. - The room was cramped. For example, there wasn't enough space for me to comfortably walk over to my side of the bed.

This place was a lovely surprise. You never expect much from a motel, the rooms were very clean, beds very comfortable, and we slept really well - despite being on the main road, it was very quiet, being just that little bit set back. The owners and staff are lovely too. Be aware, there's no food provided, but there is fresh coffee, and tea making things in reception, and you can go to Toby's donut shop for breakfast (would also really recommend this) The location is great - only a 5 min walk to downtown, and 2 minutes to the State Park

I had a great stay at Watkins Motel! The room was very clean and comfortable, and the service was excellent. The staff was welcoming and made me feel at home. Parking was easy and convenient, and the location is perfect for exploring Watkins Glen. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Fantastic little more. Very clean. Great working AC. Clean bathrooms and shower. Quiet . Comfy bed. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again if we ever make it back to the area. The staff was very friendly and if you saw them throughout your stay they'd always ask if you needed anything more. This is a prime spot to stay it. So many different places with in a 10 minute drive and a lot within walking distance. Being so close to Watkins Glenn State Park was wonderful too, especially being able to just relax for a little after the long hike. Great ice cream places all in walking distance. Great food around too. Nickels BBQ is a must for anyone who stays here. Thank you for a wonderful time.

NGL, when someone says motel, there's a certain level of expectation on what you'll get. Centrally located within walking distance of Watkins Glen State Park, and various restaurants in the area, this motel was a pleasant surprise! The room was cozy, and had all the amenities we needed covered. Our room also had a microwave and fridge which was really helpful for leftovers. The bathroom was well-appointed with a lot of towels, shampoo, body wash, and soap. If we come back here, we'd gladly stay at this motel again!

Nice clean rooms, quiet. Was extremely impressed. Motels are hit or miss. This was great and the owner and staff where all friendly and professional.

We booked this place for a night and it was perfect. The owner is friendly and helpful. She gave us tips for sightseeing and dinner. The rooms are comfortable and our parking was right outside our door. Shops, restaurants and waterfront are 10-15 min walk. The best part is the Watkins Glen State Park is across the street. We did an early morning hike and had time to come back and shower before heading out. We would definitely come back.
